KOLOMA is a folk fusion band based in Tripura. Their music is inspired by the folk music of Tripura mixed with elements from other genres. Their compositions are mostly about contemporary life, romance and inspiration. The band started their journey back in 2014, it is mainly inspired by the Indian folk fusion bands and coke studio, the main reason behind the band is to keep the Tripuri tune alive among the younger generation.
They released their debut album "Mwrwi Mwrwi", in 2015, "Kothoma", in 2018. Some of their compositions have received wide appreciation in the festival circuits including Songs and Dances of the Northeast, Judima and Ziro festival of music. The band is well known for the crackling energy they generate and their ability to get the audience living has made them a hot favourite wherever they perform.
