Bandish, a name inspired by a word from Hindustani Music tradition meaning composition, was formed by one of India’s most respected drummer and percussionist, Christopher Powell. The band released their first album titled ‘Kaise Kahoon’ in 2006 along with three music videos under Times Music. Their song ‘Goonj’ was on top of the charts for over 3 months on MTV World Chart Express in 2006, B4U Music Charts and on Channel V Top-20.
Bandish released their second self-titled album, ‘BANDISH’, featuring national and international artistes, under the flagship of Universal Music in 2010. The title song ‘Bandish’, features world-renowned UK based percussionist, Pete Lockett. The song went to no.1 position on B4U Music Charts.

Bandish recently had the honour to represent India at the Indo-Bhutan Literary Festival ‘Mountain Echoes 2013’ held at Thimpu, Bhutan. The concert received raving reviews and an audience of over 4000. Bandish was part of the Indian delegation invited by His Majesty and the Queen of Bhutan.
